In keeping with our commitment to highlighting the projects that elevate the AEC industry, Civil+Structural Engineer Media is introducing the first annual Yearbook of Engineering Achievement Award.  This award, selected by a panel of judges composed of Civil+Structural Engineer Media staff members and a team of professional engineers, celebrates the projects that have demonstratively moved the industry forward through community and environmental impact, innovative technical processes, or groundbreaking vision and execution.

Categories

  1. Housing/Residential
  2. Transportation/Infrastructure
  3. Environmental/Sustainability
  4. Water/Stormwater/Wastewater
  5. Small Firm

Eligibility

Firms are eligible to submit any project completed, or scheduled to be completed, between January 1st, 2021 and December 31st 2021.  To be eligible for the Small Firm category, firms can have no more than 50 staff members.

Awards

Five winners will be selected for each category.  An additional project, selected from within the finalists from the five categories, will be selected as the 2021 Summit Project winner, representative of the highest award within the program.

Publicity

Winners will be announced with the publication of the February 2022 edition of Civil+Structural Engineer Magazine.  Winning projects will be displayed, accompanied by high-resolution images, on their own two-page spread in the digital edition of the magazine.  Additionally, winning projects will receive their own page on our website which regularly attracts 100,000 visitors per month.

Judging

Entries will be judged for their impact on the AEC industry based on four categories: originality/innovation, social/economic impact, industry impact, and complexity.  Winners will be notified before the publication of the February 2022 issue of Civil+Structural Engineer Magazine.
