As editors, we spend a lot of time evaluating, researching, and testing products. We're always looking for new ones that streamline our routines, especially since spring cleaning is right around the corner. While we have our tried-and-true products (hello, Bissell Little Green Steamer), we also have a few new favorites that we've been testing over the last month—all of which will jumpstart any cleaning and organizing regimen.
A Simple Laundry Bag: "When looking for a hamper, I had a lot of demands since I live in a studio apartment. This laundry basket from Food52 fit the bill of holding a lot of laundry, looking good (since it's not behind a closed door), and squeezing easily into an awkward corner space. I love that it blends right into the walls, doesn't smell even when a week's worth of gym laundry piles up, and the washable paper exterior is a breeze to slide across the floor to the washer. Size wise, it comes up to my hip (I'm 5'2") and handles a week-plus of laundry for two people. At $89, it's a splurge, but has kept my floors from housing my dirty clothes."—Meg Lappe, Senior Editorial Director
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Multi Purpose Cleaner: "I wanted a product that made the dreaded tub and shower scrubbing chore a bit easier and these Magic Erasers do the job. With soap already built-in, it eliminates a step of the entire process, and my soap scum and dirt came right off (and there was a lot of it!). Plus, they're affordable, so I don't mind stocking up on them and treating them like single-use sponges."—Julia Fields, Associate Editor
Self-Watering Plant: I've purchased from almost every houseplant online retailer—you name it, I've tried it. But, I recently got to try a plant from one that was new to me, Easyplant, and it's quickly become one of my favorite plants in my home. Each plant comes in a self-watering planter. Just fill up the reservoir, and it continuially waters your plants for 3 full months. I tend to fill it up periodically, but to know that the planter is giving the plant exactly what it needs almost guarantees success, and I love that!"—Mia Ingui, Editor
Drain Savers: "Ok, listen, I have a lot of hair. The models that go in your shower drain creep me out for some reason, but these drain covers are effective, easy to use, not too gross to clean, and cheap to replace. I think they might work best for showers (I've never tested on a bath) and I just ordered a new batch last week."—Courtney Mason, General Manager & VP
