With the end of 2023 in sight, we're looking back at all the products we tested—and the 165 days we spent in the Lab putting 1,651 products to the test. From pouring hot sauce, chocolate milk, and syrup on the floor to clean with a mop (like this steamy winner) to the hundreds of boxes of Cheerios and popcorn kernels we crushed to properly test robot vacuums, we've had a messy year. While we had our hands on a lot of products (to say the least), there were a few standouts that we keep thinking about.
The Cutest and Most Powerful Carpet Cleaner: As you've likely seen on TikTok, the #littlegreenmachine is quite popular. Known officially as the Bissell Little Green Carpet Cleaner, this petite and round machine sucked up fresh coffee spills with ease, and with a little extra scrubbing pulled up set-in juice, ketchup, and potting soil stains. We love that you can use it on both carpets and cushions (dual purpose!).
An Agile Budget-Friendly Stick Vacuum: The Wowgo Cordless vacuum cleaner weighs less than a pound, took less than 3 minutes to put together, and ran on high for double the average of the 32 cordless stick vacuums we've tested (that's a full 17 minutes). Our vacuum editor took this home and uses it daily to pick up food that drops from her kid's high chair. It's the ideal choice for smaller spaces or first-time homeowners. Did we mention the vacuum cleaner also turns into a handheld one, too? All of that for just $100 right now!
A Comforter We're Obsessed With: The Buffy Breeze comforter is the ideal combo of warmth and airy-ness. It's in the exact middle of fluffy and flat, meaning whether you sleep warm or cold, this duvet insert will work for you. Of the 62 comforters we've tested this is one of the only ones that earned a perfect score. It's pillow-soft, quiet (so ideal for light sleepers who share a bed), and there were no issues with the filling moving during our tossing and turning. It remains our favorite comforter to this day!
